I booked with Zo Trips to Bhutan to fulfill a long-time dream of doing the Rhododendron trek to Tiger’s Nest after my friends backed out( regular story)😇. Bhutan’s complicated permit procedures and lack of easy public transit make solo planning tough, so this was the safe bet and it paid off 🥰.The trip completely exceeded my expectations, especially the accommodations. I had mentally prepared for basic bunk beds( as the name zostel suggests) but was pleasantly surprised with lovely, comfortable hotel rooms instead😁. The itinerary was good and covered the major highlights, balanced by some great bonding moments—like enjoying an energetic karaoke night out in Thimphu with my fellow travelers and learning how to play snooker during our time in Punakha. The on-ground team was phenomenal: Deep was a considerate and highly socialising skilled trip leader, Dorji was an incredibly humorous and informative guide who answered all our questions with a smile, and our driver handled the challenging mountain roads and zero-visibility turns with total expertiselike a superhero. As a frequent solo traveler, the experience did reinforce that I ultimately prefer exploring completely independently rather than navigating the varied interests of a group of strangers. However, for managing the complex logistics of a remote destination like Bhutan, Zo Trips provided a brilliant, hassle-free experience that made a bucket-list dream a reality.

I recently visited Bhutan with Zo Trips, and the experience was outstanding. From start to finish, the trip was well organized and executed. A special thanks to our trip leader Nirmal for his excellent coordination and prompt communication throughout the journey. Our guide, Dorji, whose remarkable wit kept the trip lively and engaging. He was also remarkably knowledgeable, offering valuable insights into Bhutan’s culture and history that truly enriched our experience. Appreciation is also due to our driver, who navigated the mountain roads with great skill and ensured a safe and comfortable journey. I highly recommend Zo Trips to anyone planning to explore Bhutan.

A big shoutout to Nirmal, who was a fantastic coordinator. He was super responsive and made sure all our needs were taken care of throughout the journey. Our guide, Dorji, was not only knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about Bhutanese culture and history. Every place we visited came alive through his stories and insights. And of course, a huge thank you to our captain (driver) who safely navigated the winding roads and treated us to the most breathtaking views Bhutan has to offer, every drive felt like part of the adventure.
