Day by day

The plan

  • At 11 am, meet and greet fellow travellers and the trip leader at Srinagar Airport.
  • Check in at the Partner stay.
  • In the evening, take a soothing walk and Shikara Ride at Dal Lake. It is one of the most relaxing and rewarding activities in this itinerary.
  • Later, explore Srinagar's local markets and cafes, and head back to the hostel.
  • End your night with a filling dinner, lots of conversations, and fun with your newfound friends.

Srinagar at a glance:

Encircled by an arc of green and white mountains, Srinagar is Kashmir’s greatest drawcard. The mesmerising Dal Lake, on which stationary houseboats and shikaras add a riot of colours and a unique offering of romantic chillouts. Apart from the lake, the city boasts charming Mughal Gardens, central-Asian-styled bazaars, soulful Sufi shrines, and many fascinating fortresses.

We had an amazing experience with Zotrips during our Kashmir trip! A special thanks to our trip leader and guide, Younis, who made the entire journey smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. He ensured we visited all the beautiful places across Kashmir and was always helpful, patient, and well-informed about every location. His friendly nature and professionalism truly enhanced our experience — from planning to execution, everything was handled perfectly. We felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the trip. Highly recommend Zotrips, and if you get Younis as your guide, you’re in great hands!

Kashmir is truly a paradise. The valley was superb, characterized by chilled winds, snow-dusted roads, and a unique atmosphere. Even with the heavy security presence and curfew-like conditions, we managed to cover every spot on our itinerary. It was a beautiful, raw, and unforgettable experience. The HighlightsZostel Pahalgam: Absolutely superb! The hospitality was top-notch, and the food was excellent. The owner/manager was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The Best Memory: Playing cricket in the woods amidst the valley. It is a memory I will cherish forever. Our Guide (Dar Younis): Huge kudos to Dar Younis! He managed the entire trip flawlessly. His historical knowledge added so much depth to the sights, and his sense of humor kept our spirits high throughout.Areas for ImprovementZostel Srinagar: Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to expectations. The food was below average, and there was no bonfire or social atmosphere. For a Zostel property, the experience felt "underwhelming" compared to the Pahalgam branch. Definitely needs an upgrade in service and amenities to match the brand's standards.

We are group of 15 people who goes for Zo trips and they are covered all important and best places of Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam. Specially wanted to mention our Guide Dar Younis bhai , he will tell you where to rent shoes and all he suggest you best price to discuss it with the shopkeeper recommend best restaurant, he is very good in History and communication so you can anytime chat with him on the historical sites and places that you want. Only negative thing about the whole trip was Zostel pehalgam, service was not good , even food quantity was limited if we remove that part . It was a great experience.
