A 5N/6D Journey through Roing, Mayodia & Anini – The Hidden Heart of Arunachal.

Tucked deep in the folds of the Eastern Himalayas lies Dibang Valley, one of the least explored and most stunning regions of Arunachal Pradesh. This offbeat adventure takes you from the tea-scented plains of Dibrugarh to the high mountain passes of Mayodia and the remote tranquility of Anini, homeland of the Idu Mishmi tribe.

Expect winding forest roads, river crossings, untouched landscapes, and warm tribal hospitality in this journey through India’s wildest frontier.

NOTE: Post booking confirmation, we will reach out to all booked participants via email 12 days prior to the commencement date of the trip with further information. A WhatsApp group will be made for all participants to connect and plan their travel together to the origin and destination points.

My Anini trip with Zostel turned out to be one of those rare journeys that stay with you long after you return. Everything — from the pace of travel to the choice of experiences — felt respectful of the place and its people. Anini’s quiet beauty was allowed to unfold naturally, without rush or noise. What truly elevated the trip was our tour guide Jyotiraditya Chetia, who felt more like a companion than a coordinator. His local insights, and ability to make everyone feel comfortable created a beautiful group dynamic. He didn’t just guide us through landscapes, but through moments — laughter, conversations, and shared silences. Grateful for an experience that felt genuine and deeply human.
